Cleaning your baby’s teeth is a not a big question. Parents should brush their baby’s teeth when the first tooth arrives. You should acknowledge with the symptoms of your child’s teething which will appear before two to three weeks. You need to observe the teething symptoms like excessive drooling, fussiness especially during feeding. You can also observe symptom like your baby’s insatiable desire to chew everything. However you can go for traditional remedies or buy teething for your infant shows signs of discomfort.

The moment the first tooth appears in your child, you should initiate brushing teeth of your baby with a baby toothbrush. Try to avoid any kind of toothpaste in brushing their teeth as far as possible unless child may swallow this. Make sure that ingestive toothpaste are dangerous to your child so don’t use that. Don’t neglect in brushing your child’s teeth although they may fuss when you first begin to brush their teeth. You can also give toothbrush to them for their own if your baby is unwilling to have his teeth brushed. Be sure to use a clean brush when you cleaning their teeth.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) you should take your child to a qualified pediatrician or a qualified health care professional for your child’s oral health risk assessment till the age of 6 months. Due to some bacteria that attach to teeth the condition arises that is tooth decay. Bacteria is everywhere in the teeth where there is Caries formed by cavity and acids formed in the presence of sucrose or sugars.

Early childhood caries or tooth decay is the most common infectious disease in children believed by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to sources there are nearly 40 percent of children less than 5 years are infected of teeth caries. Dental caries is seven time common than hay fever in children. Caries can lead to a chronic pain in teenager children. If you will take a step to treat such infectious disease your child will no doubt suffer from early tooth loss, failure to success, malocclusion, and inability to concentrate at school. More over your child may reduce self-esteem and may suffer from psychosocial problems etc.

As you know Caries is an infectious disease, so make sure that you have practiced good oral hygiene unless it can pass from you to your baby. Try to avoid sharing spoons, tongue cleaner. You should not clean your child’s mouth with your own saliva. If you found any object in your baby’s mouth, you should sterilize after washing.

Teething is not a short drawn-out process. Anyhow the teethings symptoms can make you trouble for both child and parents. However a regular teeth brushing are the best medication for teething of your child. To get a perfect smile from your own child take care of the milk teeth and then adult teeth of your child.
